PROTECTORS OF ANCIENT ATHENS

The ancient city of Athens was renowned for its democracy, its thought, and, importantly, its dedicated guardians. These individuals stood vigilant against enemies. Their duties encompassed guarding the city walls, maintaining peace, and responding to any incidents that might occur. Amongst these guardians were the famed Hoplites, heavily arme
